Sir George Alleyne sat down with aids2031 at the International AIDS Conference in Mexico City, Mexico, to talk about the state of AIDS in the Caribbean, the challenges that lie ahead in the fight against AIDS, and why we need to take a long term view in addressing the pandemic.

He is a special envoy of the United Nations secretary-general for HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean region; chancellor of the University of the West Indies and former director of the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO).
